Education
- Bachelor’s degree in law, computer science or business administration
- Bar passer is preferred
Qualifications
With at least 3 years:
- Relevant experience in a law firm, in-house or other legal department handling privacy/data protection, cybersecurity, risk management, and/or technology law
- Successful managing of complex cases and contracts
- Business-facing experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
- Demonstrates experience in leading diverse teams
- Track record of success in professional and personal activities
- Experience in working in a heavily regulated and/or audited environment
- Experience with contract review involving technology
Duties and Responsibilities
General Job Brief
Work with the Regulatory and Case Management Division Head on enforcing cybersecurity laws and privacy regulations within the Company
Involved in solving legal problems creatively, to collaborate on strategic risk mitigation, and determine the best ways to meet legal needs of the company in this rapidly evolving legal space
Handle disputes and address liability arising from security breaches or defects in infrastructure, products or services, especially when parties injured by a security breach seek damages or an injunction against the company.
Governance Support Function
Work with Governance team to translate cybersecurity laws and regulations to company policies and standards
HR Labor Relations Engagement
Ensure periodic checking of employee’s compliance to Company’s cyber security policies and standards
Prepare case reports on employee-related concerns, specifically on issuance of Notice-to- Explain (NTE) for non-compliance with the Company’s cyber security policies and standards
Regulatory Compliance Support Function
Work with Regulatory and Cybercrime Case Management Center Head in identifying and maintaining an inventory of all regulatory, commercial and organizational technology compliance requirements
Contract Review
Review all PLDT and SMART contracts in terms of compliance with information security requirements
